I tried making a list.. what do you guys think? In terms of achievements. All former world champions with several defenses. 1. Calzaghe 2. Kessler 3. Ward 4. Froch 5. Ottke 6. Beyer 7. Bute 8. Mundine 9. Stieglitz 10. Lacy trying to get inspired for the list I found this article which ESPN calls "rewind to 2007". It is really worth reading to get a solid understanding why the division is the way it is today. http://www.espn.co.uk/boxing/sport/story/126272.html
Sven Ottke is missing in this list. Markus Beyer probably doesnt belong in there. Ottke got quite some strange decisions but the bottom line is he is in the top 5. Stieglitz doesnt belong in there
Ward clearly has not achieved as much as Calzaghe nor Kessler yet. They both have a much longer reign and so on. But on the other hand the S6 win weighs heavily, so after relatively short time as a pro I think he jumps all the way up to 3rd place.. and he has a long long time to jump further up. So I think it is safe to say he will surpass Kessler and probably Calzaghe too. But he is not there yet... he just started his career.
Yeah, Ottke should be there, but remember it is only over the past 10 years. I think Stieglitz' reign (although not brilliant in any way) is more legitimate than Lacy's. So moving Ottke in, I would move Lacy out.
