    Hi,

Would love to invest in a pair of Cleto's but can't justify the 200 quid outlay.

What are the best sparring gloves around for around 100 pounds.

    Cheers.

I bought a 16 ounce pair a few years ago from a mexican site for around £110.

    Check here:

Still going strong 4 years later.

You might have a pay a bit through customs, but not a major amount.

Twins, Fairtex and Adidas and Pro Mex all have decent gloves for under £100

I have used Twins, Fairtex, and Reyes gloves and prefer the Twins for sparring. Fairtex are nice but the leather is very hard until you break them in and the Reyes lack padding for sparring.

Twins are good gloves at a moderate price

You shouldn't be paying 200 sterling for Reyes, I bought mine off EBay for less than £100 (14oz). You should be paying around $140 USD.

A lot of people say Reyes lack padding for sparring. I'm not sure this is the case. If you aren't doing hard sparring then it's not such a big deal, and I would rather spar with someone using 14oz Reyes gloves over a £20 pair of Everlast that they picked up in Sports Direct

There is a new website for amateur and professional fighters looking for sparring partners. This is a great tool to use to build a sparring network. Please check it out abd let me know what you think. You can join for less than $1 with promo code VanSparr. Join now while the prices are low.
