Great pick, I thought of this one too.

Ali looks a genuine handful too. He could look really playful during a staredown, even a big one, Frazier III for example, but here...man, he looks serious. "Giving him the word."

Do you know what he said?

Well Bruno was acting tough, but Mike knew it was all an act. He could see right through his opponents. He explained it in his documentary.

But ya, he wasn't much of a staredown guy. But his staredown of Holyfield and especially Mcneely was classic.

No. I know he apparently said things during the fight to those guys like "I am God", "they told me you were too old Joe", and "that's all you've got George?", but I don't know about the staredown.

"You have looked up to me your whole life. When you were a boy you watched me on the television. Now I will show you who the champion is."

    It's ****ING great.

Aaron Pryor vs. Alexis Arguello 1 where Pryor stands in the middle of the ring pointing at Arguello with a chilling look

I recall Lloyd Honeyghan tried the Aaron Pryor spooky stare, with right arm raised threateningly in the direction of Mark Breland.

A few minutes, and several knockdowns later, he was leaving the ring after a humiliating defeat.

I like the way Vitali stares down his opponents and Vitali is not kiddling when he does so.

I guess Mayorga spooked poor old Vernon (RIP) before their first bout.

On skill alone, Mayorga didn't belong in the same ring as him.

99% of men on this planet would of **** themselves if they was in Peter McNeely's shoes during the pre-fight staredown.

    I absolutely agree.

Was I alone in thinking he didn't make the fool of himself that the history books would have you believe?

I reckon he could certainly have extended the Iron one into the next round......

What were his corner thinking about when they pulled him out?!
