    I once read a Buddy McGirt interview where he said that his nickname at school was 'the daily planet' due to the somewhat odd shape of his head. I laughed my head off at the time

    I'd wager he ate a lot of bananas of that brand.

    True story: Apollo Creed got the nickname "The Count of Monte Fisto" from Sylvester Stallone, the actor.

    I thought it was a misprint on a gown that started it?

    Herol 'Bomber' Graham got his not from a sarcastic dig at his power, but it he picked it up at school, where he used bomb (run) around.
