1. Thomas Hearns. He killed people with his and it was a laser. 2. Alexis Arguello- textbook 3. Lennox Lewis- Everyone knew it was coming, and he isn;t overly fast, but he timed it so well 4. Kostya tszyu- Very underrated and had a certain THUD quality to it 5. Michael Moorer- I know it was a straight left, but same thing. His put people to sleep. Keith
EASY - Tommy Hearns had the best straight right I have ever seen in nearly 30 years of watching fights. His destruction of Duran was shocking, the single best right hand punch thrown by anyone at any time. I really didn't think anyone could do that Duran, the look on Duran's face was one of total shock, he knew that he was going to get beat after just a few seconds of that fight and there was nothing he could do - incredible!
I got carried away and the forgot the others. Larry Holmes had a text-book straight right. Lennox Lewis had huge power in his. Paqman's isn't too bad. Michael Spinks - the Spink's Jinx
Kessler is left handed but fights orthodox. I think most of Abrahams KO's (except the latest one) were more like swings than straight rights.
BIG GEORGE FOREMAN vs michael moorer!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and yes I'm talking about just ONE straight right hand!
I agree with all the guys already mentioned. Here's one nobody named yet. Danny "Little Red" Lopez. He hit people with a right hand, and the poor *******s went down like ya shot 'em in the head, and frequently stayed down 2-3 minutes.
I think the top 5 have pretty much already been covered, but a notable mention must go to Carlos Monzon - his was a thing of beauty.
Abraham is powerful, but his punches are usually wide hooks or so. WK has a shot-gun straight right, just like Lennox and Kostya Tszu. Hearns stright right was also a thing of beauty and scary as ****.
Wladimir Klitschko has the best straight right hand in heavyweight history, it' incredible fast and it's deadly hard.
