I'm looking for a supplement that will help increase muscle growth as well as burn fat. I'm not a real supporter of chemical intake so I want to lean towards something that just helps increase the amount of natural resources the body produces....such as testosterone, small amounts of creatine. Thanks!

there aren't really any supplements that burn fat
Muscle growth is easy, any protein

Weight loss - run / clean diet
Build muscle - Eat more food whilst lifting weight i.e. protein / complex carbs

The ONLY suppliment I would ever take would be whey protein if I lived over a hour from the gym for recovery... otherwise I would just eat chicken breast / tuna when I get home. I'd much rather eat a nice chicken breast than a disgusting protein shake =/

My biggest issue is eating late and not giving my body enough time to digest my food before actually going to sleep. I've found that eating a huge breakfast in the morning eating small meals throughout the day such as fruits, veggies and trail mix instead of an actual meal keeps me lean and my abs intact. I weigh around 210lbs so I try to at least get in the same amount of protien per gram a day but its sometimes difficult. Oh and yes I find any kind of breast is better than a protien shake....:yep

If you are hungry before bed, eat some cottage cheese. It is relatively low in fat compared to normal cheeses and it has casein protien which digest very slowly. You could have a glass of milk as well to do the same thing, but I imagine if you are hungry you would rather have something solid.

This is actually good to eat before bed because it keeps your body digesting while you are sleeping and keeps your metabolism up.

Avoid simple carbs before bed. They will just digest quickly and be stored as fat as you arent doing much while sleeping.

Before bed is the only time I eat bread. I like a slice of brown bread and a glass of milk but I do try to not eat too late.

Thanks for the advice, I usually eat dinner late....no so much that I'm hungry but the combonation of slight hunger mixed with the wife slaving over the stove for me sorta makes eating dinner at whatever time I get home mandatory. ;)

Thanks D....but a slice of bread and milk reminds me of prison.
