This is a serous question, it is something nearly all of Wlads opponents struggle with is the holding.

So what do you do to negate the holding? what will you advise a future wlad opponent who faces a bad referee that allows the holding

    what can a fighter do

This is what some of the prevous fighters tried doing

Haye- dropping to the floor each time wlad held

Eddie chambers- pick wlad up and slam him to the ground but taes out a lot of your energy

Brewster- something i noticed changed angles so it was harder to hold him and went for body shots

Sanders- not allowed himself to be held, took a step to the side and countered but need to have fast hands.

    so what do you do.

slam him in the balls. Id be a nightmare press conference for wlads **** tactics. I'd make a point of highlighting it before and noting the rules. I'd also insist on the ref making a statement on the matter before the fight.

I'd say shove your forearm in his face, Tyson liked to do that move when he didn't feel like clinching

been saying for years someone should rough him up and foul him you are going to get a warning first before a point is taken away and even then you are not going to outbox him and win on the cards anyway so multiple fouls would be ideal.

Corrie sanders didn't deal with the new extreme clinching wlad, back then he didnt do it anywhere near the level he does now.

I would say when he clinches to do anything you can to discourage him from doing it again, foul him on the blind side of the ref, push him into the ropes.

I think possibly putting yourself purposely in a position to be clinched at mid range and then just hammering shots towards the body could work as the way klitschko clinches he raises his arms. There was a good clip of him going to grab hold against povetkin where if pov had just threw some body shots they would have connected. It's all easier said than done though.

Question was posed assuming you have a bed ref.

But that is quite a dilemma because if you push off aggressively or what not YOU will most likely get a warning.

Like Allan Green who got warned when he tried to pull himself out of Ward's clinch.

Wlad tried to grab those, but he couldn't because they wouldn't let him. Wlads comp got even worse after that which is why he's still winning.

I would put money on him seeing them they are by far the most exciting wlad fights.

wlad tried to do a LOT of holdin late on in the purity fight but it didn't help much, and he just wasn't smart enough.

SMart enough that is to pick weaklings that were at least postprime and to buy out the ref.

Yeah low blows are the answer and body shots. Everone gave haye hell for falling to the floor but Wlad was pushing down on him which is a illegal tactic. I knew Wlad was going to hold Povetkin but I didn't expect the ref to allow it. Some how Wlad paid off the ref it seems. I don't understand why Povetkin is not demanding a rematch with a fair ref.
