Best tall infighters: Saddler, Arguello, McCallum, Nunn, Bowe, or Corrales

Saddler no doubt

 

Haven't seen a better fighter that can transition from offense to defense then McCallum so I'll go with him. He deserves more attention.

Off the top of my head. Should probably watch some more tape on a couple of these guys to back up this ranking but I feel it's pretty fair. Bowe I like a lot on the inside but he was defensively sloppy and his posture was often lacking. I'd add Fundora and Paul Williams to the list of lanky infighters btw. Margarito as well maybe.

 

Jibaro Perez and Genaro Hernandez were tall guys that fought well inside.

 

Saddler will probably get the most votes with Arguello a close second but for me, it's McCallum. All these guys are great fighter's.

 

Espinoza and Fundora are two current ones.

Benevidez must he high on list too. Pavlik was another long fighter who warred. Fury never minds fighting inside for a 6’9 gent. Saddler is a great choice for all time.

 

I was at Nunn-Ashley in Memphis … one of those Don King cards that started at like 4 or 5 in the afternoon and lasted til almost midnight, haha. Oliver McCall vs Francesco Damiani plus Orlin Norris and Simon Brown and a bunch of other guys.

Nunn carved Crawford up on the inside, good call.

In the same building, I think months later, I also saw Mike McCallum live and he did a similar raking-over of Randall Yonker with body shots that it hurt to even watch.
