Best tall infighters: Saddler, Arguello, McCallum, Nunn, Bowe, or Corrales

While not the greatest infighter to live Panama Al Brown sure was good in there for such a tall rangy boxer.

 

Cant argue with the order you list them

 

For me it's a pick em between Arguello Saddler and McCallum. Don't believe there is a wrong answer between the 3

I would say prime MC Callum was probably the best best inside fighter of the lot

 

I think Chico Corrales is being sorely overlooked here. For a modern-era guy, he was extremely proficient on the inside despite having bigger and less flexible gloves than the other fighters listed. But mainly, he's the only one who out-fought a fellow master in-fighter in Jose Luis Castillo. You can look like a million bucks on the inside if you're fighting someone who doesn't know how to fight inside themselves (I would know from personal experience of this happening in sparring a couple times), but it is a lot harder to beat someone on the inside when their knowledge and experience fighting their is just as good. Corrales-Castillo 1 is not only the greatest fight of all time, but it is also a masterful demonstration of dozens of infighting skills being used at the highest level of the sport and in some of the most creative ways you'll ever see.
