Unification tournament in the heavyweight division, so that Wladimir could stand alone and say he's truly the champion of the world. From there, boxing would look better.
Emergence of a new dominant heavyweight champ - Klitschko is already emerging as that champion. One Belt per division - This would be great. 2nd best thing that could happen to boxing because true fans know who the real champions are. Boxing back on big TV stations, no PPV's - This would be the best thing that could happen to boxing. More exposure would mean an explosion in popularity. Boxing continues to produce 2007 standard matchups - This would also be good, but what use are all these great matchups if all of them are on PPV? Fans need to be accustomed towards seeing the fighters.
If all that could happen it would be great. But i think that boxing back on free tv stations would be the best thing for us fans and it would be good to attract more people to boxing. I don't see it happening tought.
I think the best thing boxing can do is continue put on great matches like then been doing, this is one of the best years for boxing match up wise. I cant see the heavyweight divsion really getting any better unless the matches get made that the people actually want to see, and the belt holders try and be more active.
Those things are all good for boxing. Of the ones you posted, the BEST would be to have 1 belt per division. I think the absolute best thing for boxing would be to have the top fighters fighting 5-6 times a year instead of just 2 or 3.
