Stop being so sensitive. I never made any threads about Black vs. White. However, I see no problem with a U.S vs. U.K thread. Mexicans and Puerto Ricans celebrate their rivalry, let U.S and U.K fans revel in their rivalry.

There's no catch. The fighter just has to be of U.K descent(either parent), or either parent has to have been born in the U.K, and the fighter has to have been raised in the U.K

Steve Robinson (In my avatar) wasn't a bad fighter. Lost his FW title to Hamed.

BigReg, friend, if the UK had to rely on boxers of just English descent as you call it, they'd have no boxers to speak of!

This is strange. Calzaghe doesn't count? What about David Haye? Enzo's gone as well. :rofl And Gavin Rees! What about Junior Witter? He wears half English and half Jamaican shorts.

Hatton probably counts, the Man City tw..! :hey

Id love to educate you on some Scots but I dont have time Reg.

Briefly, we have two ATG fighters being Benny Lynch ( http://www.bennylynch.co.uk/ ), arguably the best flyweight of all time,

    & Ken Buchanan, a monster of a lightweight, absolutely brilliant, ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ken_Buchanan )

We are a small nation, 5 million people, but boxing has very deep roots here. There are boxing clubs everywhere in Glasgow and Edinburgh, and in the lesser areas it is a big deal in the ams.

We have a superb prospect right now in Paul Appleby, a featherweight, who realistically will go on to be a world class operator. Im hoping anyway.

Other than that, Alex Arthur is fighting Guzman soon. Theres a chance he could pull off the upset.

Thing is i'm sure you could go back and say that very few are native decendents of Britain! Same with the American fighters, i'm not sure how many would be native Americans but i should imagine very few.

I expanded it, so that if one of the fighter's parents was born in the U.K, they count. The U.S is a unique situation. Technically, no one is really a descendant of this country. The closest would be American Indians. However, they've been all but killed off. Many of the survivors live on reservations which is not even considered a part of the U.S

Yes, but he wasn't raised in the U.K. The fighter needs to be of U.K descent and needs to have been raised in the U.K
