I'll be using it for dumbell presses the majority of the time. I want something stable and comfortable and I've been recommended all four of the following...

Anything I should look out for? Any recommendations/advice before I spunk £200 on a piece of ****?

    Cheers.

The bodysolid one looks the best, and they tend to be the most sturdy/stable and closest to commercial quality, nothing worse than a shakey flimsy bench, esp for dumbells.

It must be frustrating how there's no actual numerical ratings on those things. If you bench 300lbs or more, I'd probably skip the first two. They look rather flimsy.

You could also try craiglist for used stuff...they're considerably cheaper, plus you can physically check them out before buying.

Yeah it pisses me off that they haven't got a weight capacity. I need one that takes at least 200kg seeing as I weigh 90 and can bench over 100 (less with dumbells, obviously, but the idea is to gain strength).

One vote for the Body Solid bench so far, cheers lads.

I'd like a new bench rather than second hand, even if it means one of slightly less quality. I don't mind second hand plates and stuff, but the idea of another geezer's sweaty butt-juice all over a bench I'm going to be laying on doesn't exactly thrill me.

The video I am doing dumbell presses in, that bench is a Bodysolid, in the vid I was using 45kg's each side, and I'm approx the same weight as you, 90kg's, so that should be fine, it felt very stable and comfortable.(reason I selected that one tbh they look exactly the same and same company, so most likely are the same!)

I can use 35kg bells but I've never tried heavier.

I can't do dumbell presses on the floor you ballbag. The cheapest ones are the Adidas ones, so make up your ****ing mind.

    I'll check the website out.

wrong on the first one, look up dumbell floor presses!!!

And adidas ones are ****, so the cheapest of the rest, you silly sod.

Yeah I wouldn't pay the earth for a damn bench, I have no idea why there are some 400 quid +, supposedly to support a guy pressing loads of weight but the average person isn't going to be doing that.
Especially as its for dumbells, get whatever is cheapest, but not that adidas shite. ones that don't look like they can even go fully straight, or look as narrow as a tightrope, don't get those.
And why not just get that flat bench that is first on my mate's page, or anything similar from elsewhere?? You can just put a couple of plates or some wood or something under one end to get an incline, instead of paying 50 quid or more. Save that money for 2x20kg steel plates, start your barbell collection.

you also get a smaller connector bar to put at the bottom if you dont use a full olympic bar and / or need space
