Yes temporary. Like they did for the Holmes-Ali fight and the Holmes-Cooney fight. Both were in a custom built arena in the Caesars Palace parking lot. 16,000 which is what the MGM seats is too small for a fight of this magnitude.
Not going to happen Arum and company would have to pay to have it there instead of getting a huge site fee from a place in Vegas. Makes zero sense economically.
It has to be somewhere in the West Coast. Both are based there. Most logical is Vegas. But i would love to have it at Staples Center in Los Angeles, home of the Lakers. Seats about 20,000. Will bring ALL the stars. Lots of Filipinos live in the So Cal area also. It's also close to Vegas.
Cowboys Stadium sort of makes sense. It's brand new. Seats 100,00K. And yeah, if you stack the undercard with some great Latino fighters and sell the upper level seats for real cheap, you might pack the entire stadium. This type of event can really attract new fans to boxing.
LOS ANGELES STAPLES CENTER. We need high profile fans sitting at ringside as they did for Vitali/Arreola. It's good for the sport opening it up to more fans other than our hard core group.
