    Can Baer beat the lesser version of Louis than the one he fought?

    Yes!

    Had he not broken his hand in the second round of their fight , he would have given Joe more trouble. A younger and less injured Max could beat Louis.

    At least his odds would be better.

    Joe still had enough left to go the full distance with Charles ,he may make it full round's again. But max probably drops him on the way to a decision win.
