Charles was really a light heavy, he could win decisions from all three

A light heavy who proved himself against good 180-205 heavies. At one point being the best of the bunch.

Charles by UD over Bonavena and Chuvalo, Charles by late stoppage due to cuts over Cooper.

Cooper had glass jaw. Charles at his best was a vicious puncher. He knocks out Cooper

He beats them all convincingly. Drops Oscar for a clear decision win, boxes Georges ears off for a shut out dec, and stops Cooper in 6 by tko.

Not glass, but not one of the best.

Cooper was stopped 4 times on cuts that was in 55 fights.Twice by Ali ,once by Uber Bacilieri, once by Peter Bates.
Among those who didn't stop him on cuts are.
    Patterson
    Bethea
    Miteff
    Neuhaus
    Bygraves x2
    Bodell x 2
    Harris
    Folley x2
    Johannson
    Erskine x3
    Urtain
    Mildenberger
    Richardson
Not a great fighter by any means, but not a joke either.

That list would probably be longer under today’s rules. He started bleeding if you looked at him hard. Helluva fighter, but a bleeder for sure.

This is incorrect, and I've proved it to be so.Cooper was stopped 4 times in 55 fights and all of the cut stoppages were in the UK where fights are usually stopped quicker than in the US.Cooper was still boxing as late as 1971.

    You wildly exaggerated the first time,when you stated this ;
"Everyone ever stops Cooper on cuts".
And you repeated that exaggeration in your last reply.

Of course I exaggerated. For effect. Don’t take everything so literal ... Tyson Fury didn’t literally eat entire buffets during his binge-to-400-pounds layoff, but people made jokes to that affect.

Henry was a bleeder. No doubt about it. In how many fights was he cut but the ref let it continue? He was a national treasure in Great Britain. And fights are stopped much quicker today than in his day — Marciano in his fights would have been stopped probaby once or twice by today’s rules.

    Lighten up, Francis.
