Got a bet going with someone who feels the version of Mosley that fought Mayweather in 2010 at WW is the same as the version that fought Canelo
in 2012 at JMW. What version of Mosley was the best?

Loss to Mayweather at 147 after beating Margo.

Draw to Mora at 154 after getting dominated by Mayweather.

Loss to Pac at 147 after drawing Mora and getting dominated by Mayweather.

Loss to Canelo at 154 after getting dominated by Mayweather and Pac and drawing with Mora.

Really? you feel the version that fought Canelo would KTFO the wrecking machine that was 2009 Margarito? I think 2009 Margo obliterates that version of Shane. The Margo that fought Cotto in the rematch proly ****s up the Mosley that fought Canelo.

But that version of Mosley is not an option. And a lot of people have a problem with equating the Mosley that beat Margarito with the one that fought Floyd a year later. Though it is very plausible he was at his best from that list against Floyd.

Shane was gifted physically. Heavy hand and speed but he doesn't have the boxing IQ. He doesn't adapt well in matches. He have 1 mode of fighting that aggressive jittery mode. When he faces someone who can give him a non stationary target or good defense he is lost.

  7. Against Pacquiao.

    Looked in great shape.

    Was active, no ring rust.

    Was loose, and moved well.

Didn't gas out after a few rounds

Didn't overtrain with a 5 month training camp.

    Showed good footwork

    Pacquiao > Mora > Mayweather > Canelo

well out of the **** options he was best in the floyd fight and only got much worse after that

  11. Yet Pacquiao was aggressive and took the fight to him.

A style Shane does very well against.

Guess after he felt that power, he just wanted to survive, not the fight but just survive.

They were all ****, and none of them are noticeably different from one another. But if I have to pick, I'll go with the Mayweather one. At least in that he had the confidence from the Margarito win over a year before.

I think DLH1 and prior he showed a lot more versatility as a fighter. More varied counters, better set ups with the jab, combination and body punching, head movement, etc. Eventually he became jitter jab, winging overhand right, leaping left to the body into a clinch, and not much more.

    :good

Right, that seems the most fair assessment IMO.

How the hell would you argue Canelo?

Nobody fights mayweather out of shape unless there are a moron. People who think Mosley gassed and not mentally beaten are bunch of ******s.

I haven't jogged for weeks and i can still fight hard fast pace for 2 rounds. And people think that a boxer preparing the biggest fight of their life jogging 8 miles everyday will gas out in two doesn't know what the hell they are talking about.
