I don't disagree that BJS is full of ****, but that heel persona created intrigue and fireworks. That whole fight week was as dramatic as any fight week in history was. The fight was off because Billy demanded a bigger ring lmao, then the fight was on.

I think some would put that win ahead of Kovalev and possibly even Lara or Jacobs. Lara and Jacobs had already been beat, and neither of those were stoppages. I agree with you that the GGG win was bigger, but again that was a decision vs a stoppage.

It was Canelo's best / biggest win by stoppage, you'd agree with that right? This wasn't chinny Amir Khan, Saunders had never been cracked like that before. That matters. Even Marquez knocking Pac out. Pac already had many losses when that happened, he had already been stopped earlier in his career. It's different when you stop an undefeated fighter who never been really hurt or stopped before. That shows true greatness. So it wasn't just that Canelo beat Saunders. If it went the distance and people screamed robbery. This was a legit quitting on his stool. The manner of that, with it being so brutal and decisive, makes the win better don't you agree?

As far as reasons for the attendance record, whether that big crowd was because of the pandemic and fans were finally allowed the pack a stadium again, I'm not saying that wasn't a factor. But regardless of how that happened, it set the record indoor attendance in America. That's big, that's as big as it gets. It was also the biggest paid attendance in America for a boxing event, indoor or outdoor since 1927. That's big, I understand where you're coming from on this. I really do. I'm not trying to overrate Saunders here, but there was a lot about this win that made it better than any other win. The manner of victory, Billy's heel persona, the epic dramatic fight week, everything that went into this event, the ring entrances, how competitive the match was before the stoppage. I think you can understand why this win could be considered the best win of the century.

Not that Saunders is bigger or better than Pacquiao, Prime Kovalev, Lomachenko, etc, but just in terms of how big the match was when it happened, and everything that went into it, including the record attendance. I mean one of the choices here is Lopez over Lomachenko. An injured Lomachenko, which was fought in front of no fans? How can you seriously argue that Lopez beating an injured Lomachenko who already had a loss on his record in front of no crowd is better than Canelo making Saunders retire on his stool in front of 73,000+. If you're honest, there's no comparison between the two.

Pacquaio over Barrera for me, though Forrest over Mosley is close. The first was a star-making performance over a still-VERY GOOD veteran who was considered among the best fighters in the world at that time (who would later have a decent run as super-featherweight champ). Forrest/Mosley had similar implications, save that it was a win over an ascending talent on the cusp of superstardom, but Forrest's own stumbling at the end of it quells the victory for me.

Morales over Pacquiao is also a very good one, but it was ultimately the last hurrah for the vet, and getting beaten several months later by the same guy while he was mostly in the same form also deludes it.

Mosley over Oscar is weird to me, given that as good a win as it was for Mosley, it was Oscar who would continue to have enormous success, while the argument could be made that it was all downhill for Mosley post-Oscar.

Screw Andre Ward; the less credit he is given, the more irrelevant he becomes, the sooner he GTFO's off the Top Rank commentary team. If I have to listen to a yes man, I'd at least like him to not be sleep-inducing.

Jury is still out on the Fimo win; did he catch Loma at the right time, or will Loma bounce back and prove it was a true quality win? Also, is this Teo's peak, or the launch of a fantastic career? Time has yet to answer.

What about Barrera beating Prince Naseem Hamed? On Paper that could be considered the best win of the century.

In reality no; however, I've convinced myself that I'm a naive realist; therefore your normal, in my personal view, is irrational and uninformed.
