Rooting for Parker but I think he's gonna KO'd.

It's crazy I think Parker peaked at a young age. I think he's on the decline, it could be step up in competition or needs a new trainer?

I think he lost the spark for a bit, partly from other things going on. He seems quite amped at the moment... we'll know soon enough.

Fury stuffing him with multiple date changes. New child for Joe's partner. Change of training to pack on the weight...

It's been a flat year and a bit. Joe looks back to his dangerous self. .

"I believe I can beat him, not sure when, not sure how but I believe I can beat him from points or knockout"

You will get eaten alive with that mentality vs a game AJ.

AJ to man handle JP, sap his energy and confidence and stop him mid to mid/late rounds. KO/TKO Round 7

    Really? How?

Saying "I will walk through this guy like he's nothing" and realising it's not that easy, that could break you.

Saying "This guy is probably beat me", that's already broken.

If you're going "I can beat this guy, and I'm going to do whatever I can to make it happen" means you know it's going to be hard but you're ready to face whatever happens in order to prevail.

    I learnt something unexpected today.

That AJ has never fought a fighter with SPEED his whole professional career.

Parker will be the first! Crazy. No preparation at all.

To be fair, Marlo Moore was meant to be Joshua's #1 sparring partner for preparing for Parker - though the fact that they tried (maybe not successfully?) to get Takam in at a late hour may suggest he didn't deliver what they were looking for. Speed alone probably isn't enough to prepare for Parker, which is probably good.

41 year old Wlad was still pretty quick and far more mobile than Parker.

I don't think thats so outlandish. He's noticeably slowed from his prospect days. He hasn't improved much technically since then either. Had Joshua and Parker fought 4 years ago, I would've picked Parker. Now I got Joshua battering him.

He has actually developed technically but went through a period of distractions and injuries and let his conditioning decline over 1-1.5years which seemed to possibly be partly as a result of waning enthusiasm due to aforementioned ongoing injuries. It seems a LOT like those things have been dealt with as he has a lot more spark in his eye and spring in his step in interviews, is looking much leaner and looks amped for the fight.

I actually liked quite a lot of what I saw from him in the Fury fight, clearly still a work in progress but he did well and I think with a bit of a clearer head (/ experience) and a bit of conditioning he could do better again next time against who would make any opponent look bad.

I see this fight as being competitive so long as no-one eats too much of a punch too early

No one really underestimates their opponents nowadays, or at least they don't publicly show it.

Parker is a likeable guy, which IMO is why people are giving him a better chance than he actually has, its more than likely he will be overpowered and lose within the scheduled distance. Which is my point.

Getting bored of all these threads of "Parker to shock the World".

Parker will have to knock Joshua out to win, it's impossible for him to win a decision in UK with Joshua's personal judges, referee, boxing commission.................if Joshua lands a left jab, Joshua's referee will stop the fight and call it a knockout! Look what he did to Takam....................

The fact that Joshua will be coming to this fight so light proves that he's not underestimating Parker. And Parker's speed is overrated, from what I've seen. So I don't see Parker winning this at all. Well, it's a heavyweight fight so maybe he does have those 20%.
