I think you need to be an exceptional counter clincher. When you see the clinch coming, evade and clinch him back from angles. Can't believe no one has tried this yet
Just watch someone with actual skills/athleticism/size fight him on neutral soil, then he's going to crumble.
The person to beat K will have to have good foot speed and decent reach. In other words, a David Tua type has no chance. Too short, no reach. And the movement coming in needs to be erratic, quick side to side movement, while throwing haymakers. This is how Jennings got in several punches. If you fight a traditional stand up jab, jab, right cross it ain't happening.
It's called BOXING, not wrestling or clinching, that being said Speed + Reach + Body Shots, reach and speed are needed to keep him at distance, this will allow for countering his jab and stringing in body shots that will tire him, also a good uppercut is needed to keep his clinching at bay. Not a good ****ysis but just my 2ยข
Lead with youre head with ear muffs on. Sure, it's just as illegal as clinching, but its less obvious to the ref, and if it's against Wlad, the ref will surely call it against Wlad for draping over the head first fighter.atschatschatsch
Explosive fighters like Brewster and Sanders did it with lucky shot.. Guys who are like that now are Wilder, Povetkin, maybe Helenius.
Good footwork and angles. Ali in his prime is a great e.g Good strong pressure fighter with speed, e.g a prime Mike Tyson, he would come in with combos for the most part. Talking about Sanders is pointless cos that Wlad was green! As for Brewster I don't know what went on there cos that was strange. I mean look at the rematch. Lewis or Vitaly or even Bowe would give him hell, but I'd slightly favor Wlad in those fights. Holmes and Foreman I'd make slight favorites. However it's not their style so much, but who they were. Jennings was a smart cookie in that fight cos I think he used the best strategy he could of, but he just weren't good enough.
