I have seen people take a deep breathe in and not breathe out again, raise their arms up out wide, been told to think light, stand on the edges of the scales. Do any of these work? Or anyone know of any that do work? Thanks.
All of it is rumours and stuff our old ass coach believes in till the death. Also take a big **** to lose 1kg.
the only thing on that list that could possibly work is standing on the edge of the scales, assuming the scales are a bit dodgey
Actually the breathing works, atleast that's what my wrestling coach said. The more air in your lungs the more weight, which can add a pound or two I think
standing on the edge of the scales would be illegal, breathing all the air out of your lungs will not make the difference of a few pounds air is extremely light you should try it next time your on a scales, raising the arms doesnt really help either, the best way to make weight is to train hard and diet correctly, i wish "thinking light" worked but unfortunately it doesnt
If you filled your lungs with a gas lighter than the standard Nitrogen/Oxygen rich air we normally breath, I suppose you could take a few fractions of a fraction of a lb off. Try helium and tell us how it works out.
Heres something, that works believe it or not, and it goes against all the laws of science. Done it a few times, get the Fighter to stand against the wall on His Head upside down for 5 minutes. Youve got about 3 minutes before the affect wears of,to get on the scales you will lose up to a pound, dont ask me why try it. :yep
Odd... Uhm, maybe if all the blood rushes to your head, then as it rushes down to back, it's not on the scale because it's sort of "falling down" but once it settles it's "attached" to the body which is being weighted on the scale??????? My only other explanation is evil sorcery!
Breathing out as much air as possible from your lungs before you step on the scale could reduce your weight by about .001 of a pound or so lol. Best thing is to just hope for scales that are a bit off from the one you have been using. I fought in a tournament and was 151 the morning of at home, 151 on the scale at the 15 minutes later, but when I weighed in officially I was 148.5. It sucked for the first day because I was hungry and dehydrated so I could've been eating if we got there earlier and did a test run. But it made making weight the next days alot easier.
