Rigo's win was a masterclass but Maidana's win was more satisfying

Tim Bradley is fighter of the year, was in the fight of the year, and has the best win. This is his year, hands down. Most deserving of another big fight next year (Mayweather, Pacquiao 2, Cotto) or a break/good payday (Malinaggi).

Garcia's win over Matthysse. Both fighters came into the fight having generated a solid bit of hype with several big wins(particularly Lucas obliterating Peterson in three rounds) and both gave it all in there at a high level with Garcia's boxing class ultimately prevailing in a very good fight that determined the clear best fighter at 140. Rigo vs Donaire is the number two on the list, Rigo easily outboxing Donaire was an impressive feat, and would have been number one except that to me it's fairly clear that only one fighter had his head in the game that night. Donaire's effort was highly disappointing given his reputation. Lucas might have lost to Garcia, but nobody could question what he put into the fight in defeat. Donaire gave up his status with minimal resistance by comparison.

    Schooling:lol:

Bradley connected more jabs but JMM connected more power punches and a higher connect rate. Bradley boxed better but it was a close fight.

You want to see a schooling check out Rigo vs Donaire.:deal

and for your own sake, stop obssessing about JMM.

I actually enjoyed Ruslan-Alvarado the most. Seeing him come up from Espn and getting his shot at Bradley and losing a very close decision and finally reaching his goal and stopping Alvarado was nice to see. Although I felt bad for Alvarado he seems like a nice guy and took a beating in a fight at home.

    Rigondeaux.

It's between him and Bradley as to who beat the best fighter pound for pound I think we can all agree, and Rigondeaux did it in more dominant fashion.

I voted Wlad UD Povetkin. That's because I am from former USSR and this fight finally finished an EPIC, 10 000 page thread on the russian forums as to who would win.

On a global scale, it was a very important fight where two olympic champions got to decide who was better at the sweet science (and the sweet embraces)

    Rigondeaux UD Donaire
    Garcia UD Matthysse
    Maidana UD Broner
    Bradley SD Marquez

Those four are #1 for me, can't pick between them.
