To be honest, Hatton wasn't really at a stylistic disadvantage. Hatton is a prototypical swarmer. Tszyu was a boxer who had a good amount of power which was created from his excellent timing and sense of distance. The old addage is that swarmer beats boxer. When you add in that Tszyu struggles to generate power against a swarming fighter, then it becomes clear that Tszyu was the one at a stylistic disadvantage. None the less, great win for Hatton.

Hatton would always give Tszyu fits, end of story. Ricky was hardly at a disadvantage.

If Ricky were to beat a slick, heavy handed, counter puncher, preferably a southpaw, I would let you have that one.

A southpaw JMM if you like.

I don't understand this one mate. How exactly was Ricky at a stylistic disadvantage against Tszyu??

If it was the other way round, then it makes even less sense. How exactly did Tszyu overcome a stylistic disadvantage?

Good choices. I strongly agree with Mayweather-Castillo, disagree with PBF-Corrales. Corrales was a plodding infighter with power and a suspect chin, PBF was faster, could move around the plodder, had enough power to KD Corrales suspect chin and if Corrales could catch PBF, PBF had the chin to neutralise that power.

I thought PBF had a great styles advantage over Corrales.

SRL vs Hearns has to rate up there as one of the best ever.

That's the one that immediately springs to my mind. Hearns had the advantage in height, reach and power. Leonard had the edge in speed - but it was difficult for him to use it.

Perhaps the other side of the coin would be Roberto Duran's brawling victory over the aforementioned Sugar Ray Leonard.
