the good Kenny bayless Steve smoger Steve Willis the bad Lawrence Coles Russell Mora Artur Mercante Jr the Ugly Robert Gonzalez Dan Kelley Frank Santore Jr
You think Ugas would have finished Spence if Cole didn't stop for the mouth piece? IMO, it's difficult to say, but what I do know is, Spence switched into another gear and beat Ugas the rest of the fight from that point on.
Bayless makes me sick, some of his early stoppages really ****ing trigger me. This guy has obviously been specifically told to protect in-house fighters. Robert Byrd is just senile - ill never forget his absolute ridiculous attempt at reffing Glowacki vs.... Breidis (think it was)
I know the rule of thumb is to replace the mouth piece when there is a lull in the action. At the time Cole stepped in no punches were being thrown, but Ugas was moving in. Once again, boxing rules prove to be too subjective. Was there a lull, yes, was it too short? I think they should do away with putting the mouth piece back in during the round.
I'm fair but firm about my Brown envelopes Cortez Weekes likes to run off to Africa amateur events after aiding & abetting in Robbery M.Lane in his day was OK but you heard him more than Buffer towards the end Russ Mora gets my vote...ETA: Sarcasm...some seemed to miss that...
Um, it's literally the greatest job in the world to literally be inside the ring in a big fight. You hear and see things that cameras often times miss, too. And the money's not bad. The biggest names make like 250K a year. Bayless earned 25K for Pac/Mayweather.
A weirdly high percentage of fighters choose the moment they lose their mouthpiece to get aggressive. I never understood that. Why not take a step back and create the lull yourself?
