    Larry Merchant: Barkley vs Toney
    "Toney is an athlete who was a high school quarterback, against Barkley who is a warrior. This may turn out to be a warrior's game. Let's see if Toney can survive in Barkley, what appears to be a fierce pass rusher."

    Teddy Atlas: Augustus vs Burton
    "Corrupt or inept take your choice, these pompous asses with their pencils in their hands & there gonna rip a decision away from a fighter who loses a little bit in each fight. This is a disgrace, This is what chases away great fans from a great sport."

    Teddy walks over to judge...
    "Hey judge...do you know the rules? How do you say this was a majority decision, when there was no even score? So you're now admitting you got it wrong?"





    Worst:

    George Foreman, Jim Lamply & Larry Merchant: Jones Jr vs Ruiz
    I don't remember verbatim, just that a verbal fight broke out.

    George: It only takes one punch in the heavyweights."
    Larry: "George Ruiz can't even get close to Roy and the fight is almost over..."

    Merchant: "Look George if this was good fight I'd...."(interrupted)
    Foreman: "Ya'll build the fight up, and now there U go tearing it down."

    The argument was kinda better than the fight, that's not good.

    I cant remember exact lines but the UK commentary in AJ vs Whyte

    They flip flopped so much in that one it was almost unbearable.

    "Tonight, Allah knows how to spell Barrera, B-a-r-r-e-r-a." (MAB/Hamed)

    "It happened! It happened!" (Foreman/Moorer)


    Worst:

    George Foreman throughout Hopkins/Trinidad

    Ferdie Pacheco generally, but especially after he said Gerald McClellan "ran out of heart" following his taking a knee for the final time against Benn. In fairness, he didn't know the situation, but it's still an incredibly disgusting thing to say about a fighter and especially one who was visibly in distress at that point. And after such a brutal fight, too. Pacheco was the my least favorite announcer ever.


    Funniest:

    "Ohhh nooooo!!!! That's what we were worrrr-ied about!!!" (Herol Graham getting KTFO by Julian Jackson)

    The announcers a couple rounds into the Reid/Ottke debacle, once it was clear the fix was in. They referred to the referee's "beady little eyes." It was hilarious.

    Adam Smith before the Bellew vs Usyk fight saying the bomber tattoo wasn't insensitive to the victims of the bombing that happened a year earlier in the same arena.

    Funniest moment: commentators Vladimir Gendlin and Yuriy Nesterenko are working on Fernando Montiel vs Zoltan Lunka fight which had been held at 112 lbs.

    Nesterenko: Lunka is so bad that even I would have had a chance to beat him!

    Gendlin: Of course you would, considering you are weighing more than Klitschko brothers.

    Worst was when Jim Lampley lost his mind during Pacquiao vs Clottey and kept shouting “Bang!”
