Best/Worst excuses for pulling out of fights

Not sure you quite understand...there is a theory that Haye cut himself to avoid the fight. It is further, hopefully and likely wrongly, alleged that he did so to avoid testing.

 

I have heard the rumour, but my point still stands. As Chavez showed, a one week old cut will open up pretty sharpish in a boxing fight.

It was better that Haye called it off; maybe because of drugs, maybe because he thought he would lose, maybe legit. But for the paying customer (us), it was the right thing to do.
