Did anybody else like that ESPN PPV a few years back? The main event was margo vs cintron. I liked that one. 30 dollars and 4 fights that I wanted to see. I wanted to watch Diaz vs Elder, but someone got injured in camp. Can't remember who.
I didnt order it but the way the card was orginally set up it was very good for just 30 dollars. 2 World title bouts,HOF Shane Mosley in action,a meaningfull Heavyweight fight. I wish ESPN would do something like that agian maybe something like IBF 154 Title Verno Phillips vs Joel Julio IBF 168 Title Lucian Bute vs Librado Andrade James Toney vs Shannon Briggs Edison Miranda vs Jean Paschal
Worst PPV experience, Roy Jones - Tarver II. Terrible undercards and Roy got knocked out in the 2nd round. I felt like I got ripped off. Then to top it off I turned to ABC after the fight and saw Derek Fisher hit the damn 3 at the end of the Lakers - Spurs game and put my boys (at the time) out.
I wouldnt exactly call it cowardly at all to step in the ring with the man that brutally KOed you just 17 months before. Also its not cowardly to be hurt like he is in the 11th while the ref is looking closely to stop it and Roys shaking his head no and continues to try and survive. Could he have fought harder for the win ? Damn straight but show some ****ing respect and alittle knowledge of the sport.
Marco Antonio Barrera against Mzonke Fana and Kevin Kelley were two of the worst PPV headlined mismatches ever. For action, the worst I can remember was Roy Jones-Eric Harding. Ugh.
Damn how could I forget. The only fight on there that was boring was the Mosley-Estrada fight. McCline-Brock was an excellent slugfest. Good leadup to the Margarito-Cintron fight.
Not positive that I ordered it but I remember watching it. I'd have to think really badly about myself if I ordered that PPV.
