Did anyone see the crap he put online about how HBO are nothing but a bunch of B class fighters these days? They have Stevenson, Kovalev and GGG, arguably the 3 hardest punchers in the sport today; massive fights ahead. Sure they have Matthysse, but I feel Garcia schools him next month.

I reckon HBO is rocking right now, would rather see these fighters than Maidana, Broner, Arroeola etc..

Both sides attack each other, that's "business" i guess.
Schaefer also said Matthysse was the new Pacquiao... :patsch

Don't worry about the HBO/Showtime war just flip back
    and forth and enjoy. :bbb

I doubt either network is paying you, so why worry
    about their cold war. :smoke

Golovkin sure as hell plans to but the majority want none of him. Didn't Murray's promoter, Ricky Hatton, openly state recently that the time isn't right to fight Golovkin?. Kovalev recently had his first step-up fight and did great. The man only has 23 professional fights anyway.

See this exactly whats the problem, HBO is complicit as hell in a fighters like GGG opponents selection, making sure the hype jobs stay hyped by allowing them to face bums, if they forced the other parties to put up and shut or dont get seen on tv like showtime has this year these fights would have not been seen, but they allow Sergio Martinez to go on bum tours for 3 years, rinse and recycle the same fights unnecessarily and such

    Take the blinders off breh:bart

Martinez has been on a bum tour for 3 years?. Chavez Jr., Macklin, Murray, Williams, Barker and Pavlik are all bums?

What's this about the HBO-Showtime war? Is that the one about Top Rank and Golden Boy?

3 years may have been a exaggeration, buttttt..............

A blow up ww in Williams

Who the hell did Barker or Murray beat....

And a recovering alcoholic and shot Pavlik that put Sergio on his ass and gave him all hell, before the fluke cut,a prime version couldnt win one damn round off a 40+ year old past prime Bhop

That should let it be known how much of a hype job like Sergio has been, facing eurobums hiding from competition and yall though he was great and the best thing since sliced bread, stop being caught up in HBO smoke in mirrors

As expected, when all fails just discredit all the wins by using as many excuses as possible to look alive in a discussion. Like I've never experienced that before. Sorry, but your opinion on these fighters and their personal lives at the time means absolutely nothing, as a matter of fact it's not even accurate and pure garbage. Fact is, Martinez was overlooked in almost all of these fights and expected to get sparked/killed. If it didn't impress you it doesn't mean these wins are meaningless, seriously that type of mentality is that of a woman in heat, as a man I expect you to be reasonable and open-minded even if you don't like Martinez.

You start off with this garbage only to end it with "he's an HBO hypejob". You're either a troll or an idiot. If you're a troll, excuse me for responding and taking your username any serious. I don't necessarily keep track of you bored imbeciles but should do so.

Because murray can't get a visa to fight in the US.. like murray said, how can they make hi an offer knowing he cannot accept it because he can't get into the US. He said he's working on it though and should be ok within 6months.

Martinez came up from JMW the first time they fought. Both guys started at WW. Williams had been campaigning above WW for several years when they met in the rematch.

Both of these guys were handpicked. Regardless, they're both pretty good fighters. The fact that they both gave Martinez good fights goes to show that they clearly have talent.

Pavlik was the recognized champ at MW when Martinez fought him, and he was the betting favorite. You discredit the Williams win because you claim Williams was a blown up WW, yet you completely ignore the fact that Martinez came up from JMW for the Pavlik fight. Pavlik was hardly shot. That was a damn good win for Martinez.

What Eurombums has he been facing? Martinez has faced nothing but quality comp over the past several years. This is the problem with boxing fans, the complete lack of perspective.

HBO and Showtime have both shown some good matchmaking as of lately. Hopefully they both keep it up.
