How do we know Pac's childhood friend isnt a spy for Clottey. Giving him tips over the phone on what Pac is working on and what to watch out for?

I think Pac wins but Clottey is severely underestimated. The guy arguably beat Cotto and gave Margo a very tough fight. Throw in his huge weight advantage over Pac and unless Pac is that much better than the Cotto's & Margo's, he really shouldnt be that huge of a favourite.

That said, Pac wide UD or TKO late.

Clottey's a good fighter. But he's been handpicked to be the sacrificial lamb for Pacquiao.

Clottey is training out of some shitty gym and has one sparring partner. I doubt he has the money to pay one of Pacquiao's longtime sparring partners to work for him. In the end, we don't know for sure though. However, we do know for a fact that one Clottey's longtime sparring partners and childhood friend is now working for Pacquiao.

So you're of the opinion that the odds should be close on this fight yet you're picking Pac by wide UD or TKO? That makes no sense.

Handpicked? How can he be handpicked.

Mosley was fighting Berto. Floyd negotiations just fell through. He just dismantled Cotto. Margo just getting back and not even licensed yet.

Clottey was the best available fighter and a top 5 WW, they went straight for the best WW available. The fact that he was in Arum's stable helped too.

Well, Clottey does not have the style to beat Pacquiao. He is far too passive. Add that to the ridiculous situation he is in regarding his trainer and everything else that's already been mentioned and you are looking square in the face a man who has every odd stacked against him. Go figure.

Im not saying Clottey is paying one of pac's long time sparring partner, Im saying his childhood friend is probably keeping him up to date with whats going on with Pac's camp, free. I would if I was a sparring partner for my friends opponent, I get cool workout, nice payday and give my mate inside info.

On paper it should be close odds really, if you evaluate these guys past performances and the fact that Clottey is probably gonna have 20lbs on Pac fight night. The same way Oscar on paper should have been a big favourite against Pac and he was, I still picked Pac. Just as Im picking Pac here.

Clottey would have to throw punches in order to even be in a position to land a Hail Mary, and that's something he shies away from.

Everything in this fight points to Pacquiao stopping Clottey in a one-sided fight.

Clottey is clearly being set up to lose. That's why I hope Josh will knock Bob Arum's purse the **** out. The old man needs a lesson before he goes away.

Handpicked may be the wrong word. But Pac had more options than Clottey, other fighters were trying to get in on him like crazy when the fight fell through and honestly Pac would have beaten them too. However, if I wanted to make Pacquiao look amazing I'd put him against Clottey. That's not a slight at Clottey, the styles don't favor him. Before the fight they'll do the whole routine of trying to make the fight seem even by saying "Clottey's so much bigger" ad nauseum...at the end of the day Pac chops him down.

Clottley has a good defense, it'll help Manny breaking down his defense. It's no Floyd Mayweather defense, but Manny hasn't fought anyone with such a defense. It'll give Manny a new insight into breaking down a fighter.

May-Pac was never going to happen in March. Arum never wanted it, said there isn't enough time to promote the fight and always mentioned about a fight in the fall, Roach said there isn't enough time to get used to Mayweathers style.

If they win there respective fights, discussions will go smoother and there will be very little hiccups.

Floyd just got lucky with Mosley-berto falling through.

No one looks good against Clottey, and Pac will be no exception. Clottey's defense makes for dull fights, but it's effective. Pac by UD.

the fact that theres no value in backing pac unless you manage to pick a round for a ko

your better of putting it on clottey because he has a real good chance and with his odds its wort a punt

Let's be realistic. He's going to land something. I expect Pac to win but there still is that small chance Josh will land a perfectly timed body shot. If you get it right, all it takes is just one punch.
