Clottey is tailor made for Pac. He will be game but will be thoroughly outclassed.

Who let all the pedantic ESB twats out of their parents' basement for this thread? Give the superior fake grad school drivel a rest already.

It is a serious stretch to suggest this fight feels like Tyson vs. Douglas.

If you think that you need a post-grad degree to know the meaning of the words "realistic" and "upset" then I'd wager that your education stopped somewhere between middle school and high school. This isn't a discussion of molecular biology, we're talking about simple ****ing words that you're misusing. Heck, "pedantic" is the most pedantic thing that's been said in the thread so far.

There's no evidence whatosever that this is happening. Pac's training camp has been no different than in previous fights. Just admit that you're wrong, that you said a dumb thing, and move on.

Clottey should have hired a world class trainer for this fight. But I understand him if he doesn't want to pony up the money.

NO. You got it all wrong. What I stated was it's realistic for Clottey to land something - anything! Who's to say one of those punches won't be a lucky body shot? As far as I'm concerned I have everything on track. It's not my fault if you misunderstand or take things the wrong way. You're so focused and overly determined to pick out a mistake that you've overlooked the most important things.

I'm not comparing Tyson-Douglas to Pac-Clottey. I bring up names and all of a sudden you assume I'm comparing the two matches? Ridiculous. Once again, my point is although UNLIKELY, there's still a POSSIBILITY that Pac will get KO'd by a lucky body shot. How is that such a flawed statement?? If you can't or won't agree to that then I can't help you with your ignorance.

Nipplefloss, you can't possibly be as humorless, smug and pretentious in real life as you are on ESB. Get yourself an enema and lighten up already. You're starting to sound 'tautological'.

    1. No. You asserted that I was being unrealistic in suggesting that Clottey won't land such a shot. However, under your own definition, my statement was every bit as realistic as your own. You contradicted yourself. Your failure to see this points to general lack of intellectual integrity.

    2. If you're not comparing the two fights, there was no reason to bring Tyson vs. Douglas up. If your point was that Pacquiao could be knocked out by a lucky body shot, again, what does that have to do with Tyson vs. Douglas?

    Enough!

All of you will look like utter fools when Clottey not only lands one or two, but hundreds of shots on Pac, and starches him like a cheap-ass white dress shirt.

Thinking you are dumb =/= humorless and smug. The two are not mutually exclusive. You're dumb, you're butthurt that you got called out being dumb, and now you're trying to pass it off you not being dumb, but other instead being pretentious for pointing out that you're dumb. That, also is dumb. You're meta-dumb. Congratulations.

Remind me what were the better options? Nate Campbell? Mallignagi? lol.

The only other guy was Tim Bradley, but that is a fight at 140, it seems Pac wants his body to settle at 147, a WW, possibly to ready him for Mayweather. Clottey was the best available.

I dont see how Clottey was there to make Pac look good, on the contrary, I think Clottey is the type of fighter who can make most fighters look really bad due to his akward style in a loosing effort. Cotto & Margo didnt look too great in beating him.

    How do you figure that?

Pac comes in 150lbs max on his WW fight, 3lbs over the limit. Most WW's come in at 160lb, Clottey is known to come in at 170lbs. 170-150=20lbs :think

Clottey is not known to come in at 170 lbs. That happened once in a 149 lb. catchweight fight where he weighed in on fight night with all his clothes on. He was 156 lbs. against Judah. Expect Clottey to be anywhere from 155 lbs. to 160 lbs. on fight night.

VS his fight against Cotto, I believe Cotto weighed in 160 and I'm pretty sure Clottey weighed more than Cotto that night.

I doubt they do unofficial weigh in but if they do, I think Clottey comes in over 160 at least.
