I honestly have trouble seeing Bivol having the power or strength to keep Beterbiev off for 12 rounds. He doesn't hit as hard as Gvozdyk IMHO. Now, maybe he has the legs to run and jab all night to a decision, but it's a bit of a tightrope and I'd have to favour Beterbiev considerably.
Well yes Beterbiev is the physically stronger and harder hitter of the two, but Bivol is very fast, and even though he hasn't been blasting people away, he does have some nice power. I also believe Bivol is more naturally confident than Gvozdyk, Gvozdyk did start to fall apart mentally after that jab to the body. Also sorry for the late response.
Let's not forget that Beterbiev is 6 foot tall and Canelo is 5'7.5. Canelo would get clubbed to death from range, and eat deadly uppercuts when he gets on the inside.
I felt for a skilled fighter (by today’s LHW standards), Gvozdyk’s technique looked a little sloppy. Perhaps it was him wilting from Beterbiev’s body attack. Bivol, however, has shown great fundamentals and provides a sharpness and consistency. We’ve seen Gvozdyk have bad rounds or not looking to great before dispatching his opponents. Whereas with Bivol, it’s always very methodical and systematic. This is what Bivol will bring to the table and that is *the* fight which will really declare LHW supremacy. Everybody knows Kovalev is way past it. Heck, the money grabbers are going up 2 whole weight divisions to pick up their paycheque!
