Plainly-obvious that Bivol's management/promotions team knows they can "marinate" the fight and that at aged 37 any delays will hurt Beterbiev more than their own man.

Like both. Think Bivol's speed will be a problem and the key to him eeking out a decision. Beterbiev is quite slow, not surprising with how hard he punches, he can clobber anyone at anytime. Would pick Beterbiev purely based on him putting a pounding on Bivol especially down the second half of the fight just like he did with Gvozdyk and Browne

    It was.

Gvozdyk loves to go to the center of the ring and engage you in a fire fight. I welcome that sort of style and I think Artur did too!

Bivol is a different animal. Bivol doesn't care about putting on a "cracking fight". In fact, it's safe to say that he's not above making a fight quite boring to guarantee himself the win.

If Artur is gong to bring that "power/pressure" fight style of his to bear against Bivol, then Artur better plan on moving around a lot during that fight and cope with the fact that Bivol can shoot that jab of his for 12 rounds. If Beterbiev hasn't busted up Bivol's body enough to slow Dmitry down by round 8 or 9 - he's probably not going to win the fight. Browne and Smith Jr didn't test Artur's legs at all - Bivol will.

Looks like a 50-50 fight to me - though I agree there's a pretty good chance that Artur will win with a stoppage.

    beterbiev vs canelo......winner fights bivol.
canelos performance vs bivol did not warrant a rematch.

Can Bivol avoid Beterbiev's entire punch selectiom and arsenal for a full 12 rounds? Highly doubtful. Every punch by Beterbiev has an impact and sets up a power shot. It's how he trains so he will be going for the kill; break you down and then finish you off.

Beterbiev was also far more accomplished than Bivol as an amateur and has seen Bivol's style many times. It's uniquely Soviet and nothing new for anyone from that region.

Beterbiev wins after he catches up to him. Round 10 TKO. Ref steps in.

I’m a big artur fan and would love for him to beat bivol, but just cause his Punches won’t hurt beterbiev don’t mean he can’t offset his rhythm, artur will have to punch with bivol at all times can’t let bivol just land his combos at will and then back off.

And he will, Bivol is a relatively small and light hitting LHW, Beterbiev will have no fear of throwing 3 to land 1 and will rough him up on the inside at every opportunity with his far superior physical strength. Beterbiev's body punches are really going to hurt Bivol and slow him down. I just cannot see Bivol surviving 12 rounds with Beterbiev.

Bivol isn't a very big hitter - but he's very good at tiring out his opponents. If Artur is successful in landing to Dimitry's body - then I'm pretty certain that, yes, Beterbiev will win by stoppage. If he doesn't, Bivol wins on the cards.

Beterbiev via Round 10 TKO seems resasonble...

...but let's not forget that a younger Beterbiev needed 12 rounds to stop Enrico Kolling and 10 rounds to stop Adam Deines. Neither of those guys are near Bivol's level.

So this still looks 50-50 to me, keeping in mind it won't happen until after Artur's 38th birthday...

Bivol would win easily, it wouldn't even be close. 118-110 to 120-108.

How many times are you guys going to write Beterbiev off?

Bivol beats an overmatched and undersized Canelo after a string of underwhelming stinkers and no knockouts for 5 years and all of a sudden he is an elite űber monster.

It's not a case of Bivol being overrated. He's not. He's very talented, a brilliant boxer, and a legit P4P top 10 guy who has dominated everyone he's fought. It's people who continue to underrate Beterbiev that's the problem.

Why ? he has one belt and beat Canelo. is that enough ?

Because nobody was talking about this before Canelo fight and one fight is not enough to make someone P4P
