Don't think anyone is really saying he should fight another 10 fights. He's clearly not too far away, and it could probably be staggered over 3 fights. But, if done properly, he's probably 5 fights from fighting at Kovalev's level - it's a fairly stacked division in that sense. I reckon there's about 10 world-level fighters between him and being a top 3 or 4 fighter in the division. It's not really being unfair to him to expect him to prove himself against those guys before he gets a shot at Stevenson or Kovalev.
Kovalev - Beterbiev would probably be the most interesting fight in light heavy now, for fight fans. Beterbiev will probably have a slight psychological edge on Kovalev. Kovalev is a bit quicker with hands and lighter on feet, while Beterbiev is probably a bit stronger and plants himself for a big powershot maybe a bit more often and willingly than Kov does. Still, their styles are very similar to each other, boxing fundamentals are very much the same for both of them, obviously. It would be a great boxing match for a boxing fan to watch. However, this fight is not very marketable in USA now and either of them would need to first give Stevenson ass whooping before the fight between the two of them would make sense.
beterbiev should try and get himself into a mandatory position with the wbc next year and then watch adonis **** himself id say he will do a Quillen and vacate because his manager told him to
How many times was kovalev stopped in the Am's anyway? i hear so much about so and so russian ktfo kovalev, then i hear he got up and finished the fight. hard to know what believe.

As far as I'm aware he was stopped once - by Abbos Atoev. Anyone who claims he was stopped by anyone else needs to provide some form of proof if they want to be taken seriously.
