who? a manager is someone who looks out for your best interests, a advisor is someone who tells you to turn down a 3x career high payday and throw your belt in the bin so why did std v2.0 get binned?
What world? They were ok fighters but not world class in the real sense of world class. Not knocking Beterbiev but the use of the words world class because those words bring to mind much better fighters than Cloud and Compillo.
It's very logical really. Beterbiev is a great, experienced fighter who has a chance to be the best in the division, so putting him in a big money fight against a great fighter is what is best for him. Peter Quillin, for instance, is a fringe-contender who was extremely lucky to win a title, I think he started boxing at 21. Why put him in with a guy (like Golovkin) whom he can't beat? With a title, Quillin makes $1,000,000 a fight, without one he makes $40,000 on ESPN. Therefore you match your fighter to the best of his ability when he is average, and do your best to hold that title as long as you can. If you get $3,000,000 to fight GGG on PPV, you do it. DLH is doing the same thing with LSC; knows he can't bet Rigo, Loma, Frampton or Quigg so he won't put him in with those guys unless the money is really, really good. That's being a businessman and doing what's best for your fighter. The reason Don King made the best fights of all time, is that he did not care about the fighters, he cared about the fights, so he constantly put two young lions in the cage together, and worried about the result later... ...and boxing fans whined about that too.
