Both are really good fights, but Barrera was down in his last fight and Gvozdyk was down against Karpency, i know that doesn't equally means that they would go down against Beterbiev, but he hits so hard.
Barrera was talking a lot on twitter about wanting big fights and people ducking him until he got the call about being in line for a IBF title eliminator against Beterbiev. Big fan of Barrera. He took some big fights recently but it looks like he's getting cold feet this time around. I hope I'm wrong because that would be a very good fight.
how did you come to that conclusion? I just checked his twitter page, and he says he want's to fight beterbiev more than any other fighter, the fight is happening it's been mandated
Haven't checked since yesterday. Guess he posted some updates since. Thanks! Just checked his twitter. Either it's not updating for me or you are seeing something I'm not. He last tweet was over 17 hours ago.
God bless this division! Beterbiev v Gvozdyk is a super fight for us purists. Though the division has so much depth I think they can both build up more first rather than sacrificing one for the other right now. Saying that though a loss either way won't hurt either man much because they are both considered the future at 175. Hugely competitive deep division. Feast Barrera to Artur & Gonzalez to Gvozdyk then go for Stevenson or Alvarez.
Hope it gets made as it's a good reference point for where Artur matches up to Ward who comfortably dealt with Barrera. Now if Beterbiev stops Barrera that would be some statement.
There's no escaping from the wrath of Beterbiev. Someone will be cornered before they get to Ward-Kovalev-Stevenson. This is the big leagues.
We're seeing the Beterbiev in his natural habitat. His prey is aware of his presence and is torn between making a run for it or meeting the deadly hunter head on...
