Beterbiev calls out Adonis Stevenson for unification bout

Make the fight. Stevenson has been doing the Calzaghe, Sturm, Ottke route for title defenses, since the first Fonfara fight. He's at five scrubs in a row and counting. He's making good money for fighting lackluster opposition. It's now time for him to step up. Fight his mandatory in Alvarez, and then fight either Beterbiev, Govodzyk, or Kovalev.

I am not a Bivol fan but Jack did vacate so he didn't have to fight him. The Stevenson fight is still hypothetical at this point. Higgs boson was hypothetical before proven right. But he had the laws of physics backing him. Alvarez has the laws of a contract backing him. Now they cancelled the January 27th date because, obviously, Alvarez is not accepting the step aside money this time. Jack-Bivol would have been interesting. Stevenson-Alvarez has to happen. I agree Jack have had quite a run, an impressive one indeed. I am not taking anything from him and at this time of his career he can and should go for all the money fights he wants.

 

Seems like one of the biggest possible paydays for Stevenson before calling it quits. He ought to want to have it before somebody comes out of left field and clobbers him.......
