He's not alone, I think coronavirus effectively ended alot of guys careers who were already well into their 30s Props to guys like Usyk, Chisora, white and Povetkin for getting right back in there with meaningful fights as soon as they could...cant forget Loma either I fear Beterbiev and others may be in danger of simply fading out of the picture. He had all the hype and momentum going for him after his last fight, but time is the killer of all that positive progress.
I remember Haymon getting the blame for his inactiveness in the beginning but now its all on him. For a guy with such a good fundamental hard hitting style who knows why he stalls so much.
Plus he is booked to waste his time even further with Deines. It wont even serve to fulfill his mandatory duties. Fight Fanlong and move on. Abandon Deines bout all along. Then go for Bivol, Kovalev, Zurdo and Smith vs Salamov/Vlasov
Top Rank has ruined a lot of good fighters with long periods of inactivity, Beterbiev is the latest. Arum could easily make Bivol vs. Beterbiev (co-promotes both) but he won't.
Do any of you think that other fighters may be avoiding Beterbiev or maybe he is trying to make fights but it isn't his fault?
