    he fights out of quebec and has a decent fan base, it's just not the level of bute or pascal.

    Wait a minute Barrera was willing to go to Canada later had trouble with his visa, they offer more money to Beterviev to come to Las Vegas and save the fight and he refused.

    Incorrect. Duva pulled out of the purse bid due to the visa issue, and both Mikhalkin and Murat were given a chance at the eliminator back in Oct '15.

    Apparently it's not going to be Miklakin or whatever his name is, as Mikhalkin is in deep negotiation with Steiglitz.
    Unless Barrera can put his money where his mouth is, I think it's going to be another no namer to get Beterbiev as a no.1 contender.

    Yeah I think I saw that on RDS the day after the fight... sure, but on what card? What does ME have in the oven for the first half of 2017? That fight doesn't stand on its own, UNLESS it's in Montreal or Qc City - which visa issues would prevent, from Barrera's side.

    If it's destined to be on the undercard of Ward-Kovalev II, we might be waiting a looooong time.

    If it gets made Beterbiev-Barerra is a good fight. It does seem a lot of people aren't interested if facing Beterbiev even for a title eliminator.
