When I first saw the thread title, and your name, my immediate thought was “cool fan fiction.” ….but after actually reading the post, decent post Tin, I think I can agree with some of what you said, although I think Bivols performance against him is better and less “runner” than you do. I also don’t think Beterbiev is underrated, probably the opposite if we’re using this forum as our sample. I’m sure there are other light heavyweights in history that would be favored over him if we think about it. There’s a lot of good and sharp punchers in the divisions history. Edits: The more I thought about it, the less I agree with you. It’s still less outlandish then other posts I’ve seen regarding Beter, at least you admit Kovs got a good shot at splattering him, and Roy could beat him.
Beterbiev and Bivol is split almost 50/50 in terms of fan scoring on this site, so it's not a robbery, but there's an argument to be had that Bivol would be receiving this exact same adulation had he got the nod, which he very nearly did. In a case like this the rematch is a must, and we have that, so we can be more certain on the outcome. I'm very psyched for the rematch. I disagree about the media comment though as Beterbiev has been hyped his whole career as the most ducked man in boxing.
I wonder how many HWs he could haven taken out at his best. I mean, he’s probably in the low 190s on fight night and he’s shredded. Wouldn’t be hard to bulk up to 200.
