They had to, to get the fight . Ginger was really breaking the rules demanding a 155 weight limit to get a challenge chance at a 160 title

Don't know so much almost 90 % of the boxing fraternity believe GGG won BOTH fights clearly but was robbed. He should have been the Undisputed Middleweight Champion of the world but corruption stole that from him. Canelo was Vegas Cash Cow wouldnt do for him to lose
The best part in all this is GGG finally got to fight Canelo 3 times, Beat his ass LEGITIMATELY TWICE!!!! Still almost beat him a third time at 40 + years old. He earned 3 great paychecks plus he also earned the respect of the REAL boxing fans who when ask to vote which was the better man GGG or Canelo ?? the result of all the polls have always been Canelo:pipiGGG & it aint even close. Hear endeth your boxing lesson

OK Mickey Mouth Answer me this? ..... Why would the REAL World Middleweight Champion expect to defend his title at a bogus weight limit of 155 ??? 160 pounds is the official weight limit for a title match
You claim GGG is a phoney for not fighting Ward, Kovalev, Beterbiev, or Bivol??? Rofl the Ginger Fraud only fought Kovalev after he'd been robbed by Ward & ref Tony Weekes & had his testes well & truly hammered. He had no time to prepare properly & had no chance.. Typical Ginger Strategy GGG offered Ward a fight at catchweight of 164 Ward said no. He couldn't have made 168 himself at that time lol

Let's be honest Golovkin under performed in the first Canelo bout but still boxed very well with not much happening in terms of what he & most were expecting him to do though it didn't surprise me as most underplayed Canelos strength & determination/chin going into it thinking GGG will just stomp him out but i had less belief,

the Second fight we disagree as i had Canelo not only winning it but doing so impressively as that was a bad fight for GGG though he also tried his best be it a too late while sustaining permanent damage as i know that bout took out a lot from both fighters but clearly the more damage was done to Golovkin,

the third fight was just shameful & simply a payday for Gennady where he didn't even bother nor attempt to throw with intention mostly due to Canelos sharp counter punching making G even more hesitant, but i felt that part was already decided beforehand as he only fooled people into thinking he is coming to win all while insulting his fans who stood by him for so long, all bad.

Remind me what weight they fought at again? Was it 154? Oh no it wasn't it was at 160. My whole point here is the thread is a bit ridiculous if anyone thinks Golovkin is going to fight Beterbiev at any weight that would be fair to Beterbiev.

Now would GGG fight him if he came down to 160, then I'd say there was a chance.

Oh you're one of those guys. I said something "bad" about Golovkin so I MUST be a Canelo fan, yeah? And now we're going to pretend like titles matter too huh? Cool. Well the obvious reason Golovkin would make a sacrifice is that it was one of the top 2 fights in ALL OF BOXING. How about that? Yeah Canelo fought a washed version of Kovalev, but you know what, it's still better than any win on Golovkin's resume. Although if we are being honest GGG beat Canelo in the first fight, but it was Canelo that stepped up and finally ditched his silly "Canelo weight" and Canelo certainly didn't get destroyed like many said he was going to. 36 rounds and the mighty Golovkin barely even hurt Canelo. They both perpetrate a fraud of some kind. Don't get it twisted they are both really good, even great fighters (in their prime) but they are both annoying divas.

Also cool how you seem to have left out that GGG wanted to fight retired Froch at 168, JCC Jr at 168 but not Andre Ward. Guys like Canelo, GGG and anyone who gets to be this silly "A side" seem to ruin boxing.

I guess he did his best but i still think GGG held back you could see from his facial expressions as both him & Canelo were vary of each others skills just like you saw GGG fight him in their third bout where i know he could have done a lot more but he knew what would be coming back at him like in their rematch so he decided to just take a back seat & have another moral victory in going full 12 rounds late into his career with Canelo,

In the third bout i remember the first round where Canelo punched G back so fast in return that made Golovkin just pack it in right there without any push back,

Going punch for punch was something GGG was not going to entertain as i mentioned in their second fight Canelo not only shocked both Golovkin & Abel but also made them change their whole strategy & their style going forward altogether with the absence of mexican style.

Yep, and the other was Rolls, who fights at 160 or 168lbs. The one who gave Berlanga all he can handle.

Beterbiev isn’t the only one getting old. GGG is ancient. Are you trying to get GGG killed? No way is this a good fight.

GGG is older and weaker than Beterbiev, Canelo is a smaller version of Beterbiev and beat GGG easily in his final fight v GGG.
