The same Kaladzjic barely beat Lionel Thompson and Marcus Browne was recently beaten senseless and dropped by Jean Pascal 3 times and was on his way to being stopped on cuts before losing on points to Pascal. Kovalev destroyed both Thompson and Pascal with ease. Jack had an off night because he had a hatchet would on his forehead to deal with, he lost the first 6 rounds against Stevenson as well, remember? The only reason he did so well late is because he played it extra defensive early, and an inactive Adonis gassed, well he didn't luck out with Browne because of his freak vaginal crevice he was dealing with. So who knows how well he have performed late if he wasn't dealing with that. My point is, styles make fights, Browne is really low level and crappy, so that shouldn't impress anyone. In fact I said Hot Rod would beat him and get robbed on points.

Gvozdyk fought a far less rusty version of Stevenson, and The Nail has shown he's not amazing at fighting southpaws in the past, but still did pretty damn good, and showed a great chin, taking some bombs on the button early. Gvozdyk dropped Stevenson early in the third, somehow even though it was from a flush right on the button the ref didn't call it, then proceeded to win every round until the stoppage which almost ended up killing Stevenson, so he didn't struggle as much as Jack, who was hurt far worse at times.

As far as caliber, he looked like a sloppy wild man against Kaladjzic, it was as ugly a performance as I've seen from a supposedly top tier fighter this year. If he fights like that against The Nail, who's an excellent counter puncher, he'll be picked apart, caught with something and stopped.

I'm gonna be honest, I just don't think Beterbiev is anything special.

Hot rod was cherry picked. Hot rod was not the same as when he fought M.Browne. literally broke his hand so bad he retired & found other work. AB's team dug hot rod out the grave for a final paycheck. Don't be shocked if he never fights again. Like CST80 said AB fought like a loonatic vs Kalajdzic. They knew he was rusty & fighting for fast cash

Gvozdyk will be the slight fav by fight night.

Beterbiev hasnt taken the proper steps to prepare for a major opponent like this one. He is in for a rude awakening.

I'm not, an old, and shopworn as **** Stevenson bounced Gvodzyk off of the ropes pretty good in their fight. It kinda seemed like if Stevenson was a couple years younger, he'd have KO'd Gvodzyk. Beterbiev has stamina, and can box a bit himself, he won't be nearly as easy to turn as Stevenson, and he can punch a bit himself. Gvodzyk will have to box the perfect fight.

I believe Beterbiev to be a great puncher but he is rather basic. If Gvozdyk can implement the right gameplan and not get caught with some wild **** from AB, I think he'll either stop him late or win a clear UD.

Boxing wise, no. He has probably regress and now just loads up.

His power is for real though and is genuine one punch KO power. You can't sleep on this guy as he could put you to sleep at any moment.

If the odds on Gvozdyk are that good I may have to visit the local bookie. I have The Nail a slight favorite at 55/45. He's good at picking opponents at range and excellent counter puncher. Plus he take a solid shot on the chin.

They’re both the same odds in the UK, just below evens which I think is right. Gvozdyk is a better boxer but AB is very dangerous, Gvozdyk can be caught but can take them and dish it back out.

I would lean towards Gvoz but what a fight this is gonna be.

Some brilliant fights/cards in the last few months of this year.
