    It’s supposedly a gum abscess (or suchlike) so shouldn’t be postponed for an inordinate amount of time.

    Very disappointed for Callum Smith. Top Rank promoted the event poorly to be honest. The ticket sales were horrendous and there was no promotion. Did anyone see the press conference? It wasn’t on Youtube anywhere but someone posted it from another site on here. Top Rank need to up their game in terms of social media marketing. That’s a reason why someone like Terence Crawford has been so unknown until recently.

    I was always doubtful of the fight going ahead due to the lack of promotion.

    But who wants to watch Beterbiev Vs Smith?
    Beterbiev is no spring chicken- we need to see him fight Bivol not waste his time having to fight Callum Smith

    It was great wasn’t it. Even though it was one sided, it felt like proper Vegas fight night and you can tell that it did capture some general sports fans interest because it got about 1000 comments on the BBCs stories on it.

    He’s almost 36 though, let’s hope he doesn’t retire.
