I predict ward will drop all his belts a lhw so we will have free for all and lots of different fighters picking up the loose belts.
...yes, and, so what? You've mentioned that comment of mine before in a negative light and clearly seem to feel it was problematic for some reason. Like you can't make a stylistic comparison to somebody that happens to be in a coma from complications of brain damage incurred from the sport, without it being some kind of insult mocking that person's condition or whatever silly thing you're implying? So if people in the Classic Forum say a boxer is like a "(insert weight class) version of McClellan", that would be somehow insensitive or wrong? You're reaching, here, bruh. Fake news.
God you are obtuse! Saying someone fought like McClellan is not considered a slight while comparing someone with an amateur record of 300-5 where two of the losses were robberies, one of which at the hands of Usyk with another being a legitimate loss to Usyk, to Abdusalamov is bordering on insane. The man's medical condition is a direct result of his poor defensive acumen and illustrates poor taste on your part. McClellan's condition had a great deal to do with rabbit punches that were allowed by an awful ref and not entirely an artifact of his lack of defensive prowess. As usual you become obstinate and confrontational over some ridiculous comment/crusade you launched. "I am the great IB how dare anyone question me, regardless of how stupid and disrespectful I sounded"? The best thing that happened to this site was when you stopped posting and doing RBR's along with being a mod. Unfortunately you return periodically to test drive your grating, condescending personality at everyone's expense.
Yeah, sure, I'm the only person to ever speak critically of Beterbiev's defensive lapses in the pros. K, buddy. Also, if anyone is being insulting to Abdusalamov here, it would be you. Saying the comparison was 'insane' means you either overrate Beterbiev and his Swiss cheese defense (remember Jeff Page, Jr.?) to a ridiculous degree or you have a strangely dim view of Abdusalamov, who despite his limitations was still a dangerous heavyweight and only ever lost one fight in his short career, a competitive fight at that with Pérez, then a very highly regarded prospect/contender that many were estimating to have world class potential (and one could argue they weren't far off the mark, especially depending on how well he does with Briedis).
Beterbiev is 32 now and has been fighting only twice a year for a couple of years now. And he might lace em up only once this year. I belive Beterbiev will get that IBF belt but that will be it. Soon someone will just rip it away from him. Stiff, slow on his feet and he lacks any real inside game. Page Jr took advantage and even knocked him down. And if i remember correctly, Johnson also took advantage of that weakness. A solid jab, exceptional power and a multi dimensional offense. But he overal is a one dimensional fighter. All he knows is how to attack.
I am fr from certain he'll be a champion. He needs to get in the ring and actually win a challenger status. At the moment Gvozdyk, Bivol and Barera desrve a title shot far more than Beterbiev.
I think so too but he's a bit old his early in his career. Boxers primes are later than they used to be tough, so he shouldn't be effected to the point where he can't become champion. His power is great.
"Stiff, slow on his feet and he lacks any real inside game" - these haters always use the same code words when they talk about EE fighters.
