    :huh Then why did Kovalev's team scurry away from the last purse bid he was involved in before it even took place? Particularly since the split in that case was an unprecedented 50-50 in spite of the fact that Kovalev was the challenger in that instance? Wouldn't it have made an awful lot of sense for him to similarly go to PBC and pocket the money against the guy Duva had claimed had been ducking him for the past year?

    He's not ready yet - his team should of just been upfront about it. And Stevenson ran away from Kovalev. Guy is scary to these guys.

    Good point, I don't think HBO would allow Kovalev to fight on PBC even it means fighting Beterbeiv. He would relinquish the belt I think if it did come down to purse bids and then Haymon will put him in with Stevenson.
