    Yeah.

In a 9 min fight with headgear.

Yes, today’s HW division isn’t stacked. But it’s still a big ask for a LHW to go up and have sustained success.

Remember, it’s not how good someone is.

It’s how they match up stylistically.

For all we know, a C level HW could cause him huge issues.

We’ve no idea what he’d do against Chisora.

Usyk is a southpaw, with a big reach and amazing movement.

Beterbiev is immensely strong, but he’s not as big or as mobile.

Chisora could fight him aggressively and have it out with him.

You’re confidently talking about him beating Holmes’ opposition, when you’ve no idea whether on not he could have success at the weight.

You’re putting far too much emphasis on his amateur exploits.

    Generally, yes.

But you’re hyping him like Loma’s fans hyped him.

The difference between the am’s and the pro’s is huge.

Dudes a unified champion w all knockouts. It’s very clear that he translated into a legit pro.

    Tim Witherspoon would murder Beterbiev.

He has novice boxing skills compared to where Usyk is right now, he`s just great at setting traps and knocking fighters out, he`s simply been more powerful than the fighters he has beat and has stopped them.

I never said he wouldn't? Witherspoon at his best would toy with almost any 175 fighter before picking then apart.

I’m not sure exactly when Witherspoon was at his best. It seems like the stars never actually lined up.

The thread is about Beterbiev vs Holmes opponents so obviously this would be Beterbiev vs the Witherspoon who fought Holmes.

Beterbiev would get picked apart like a rotisserie chicken thrown into a dog shelter.

If you want some winning performances, then the version of Witherspoon who destroyed Tillis in 1. And the version who completely outboxed Bonecrusher Smith in their 1st meeting.

How do you think green Tim would like getting killed to the body?

    Amazingly I agree with you.

Only the very top heavies would beat him imo.

The hw division is in a weird transition where a lot of the guys in the top ten aren’t actually top ten h2h in the division.

He can't get killed to the body if Beterbiev gets knocked out.

Let me know when Beterbiev beats a prime 6'3 220 pound switch hitter with good footwork and power in the pros.
