Beterbiev v Barrera for IBF Mandatory

Very good fight, Sullivan will test him.

 

I hoped to see the Pascal-fight, but this seems like a good substitute.

 

To defend the title Stevenson has to beat karpency. To earn a shot Beterbiev has to beat Barrera. At heavyweight Wilder defends against duhaupas yet in an eliminator Povetkin may fight Helenius or someone of that ilk. The world of boxing is totally ****ing bizarre these days!

 

Sullivan is better than Pascal.

 

I'm glad Barrera didn't pass on this one. It should be interesting for as long as it goes.

If Beterbiev wins, what happen if his side calls for a purse bid? Does Kovalev relinquish the IBF 175lb title?

 

Purse bids are called by organizations. If IBF is forced to schedule a purse bid then I expect both sides to participate.
