Beterbiev v Bivol postponed

I did learn that thanks to a typo, "Zina Bivol" is a well known presenter in Moldova. I trust she's not facing the real Bivol as she's rather pretty.

The boy Zinad seems to be an unbeaten Arab boxer being given a Rocky-style opportunity, and why not I guess?

 

The next month was looking glorious for the sport but this week's been an absolute dampener with the Garcia doping test fail and now Beterbiev getting a potential career ending injury.

Let's hope Usyk vs the fat dosser is a good fight.

Surprised they didn't select a new opponent for Bivol with more of a "name". I know nothing about Zinad, he could be a really good fighter, just thought it would be easier to justify keeping it a PPV with a more marketable name. It's still a really good card, but nowhere near as appealing without Bivol vs Beterbiev.
