That's the one!! If he didn't know all his pathetic showboating made him look like a daft twat then, his antics yesterday make him look an even bigger one, let's hope we never have to be exposed to his shite fights again.
I know it's not the only thing but if you go on punch stats it was 6-5-1 for Beterbiev. People like Ryan Garcia calling it a robbery doesn't help.
I had it 6-5 to Bivol with R6 a 10-10. Bivol has faced the power, gone the full 12 and mentally for the re-match, this is important. That Polish judge however should be consigned to the dustbin where Abigail Byrd currently resides. Bivol imo wins the re-match. Boxing is Hit and Not Get Hit which is what Bivol did. He traded at times but he fought a great fight imo. More than one way to win a fight. It's like in Football, 1-0 defensive or 3-0 6-0 attacking, it's still only 3 Points. Regards Whittaker, like I said on the American RBR Thread, he looked for a way out as he was losing, being exposed and he QUIT. No way was he injured like he claimed, however, expect over the 24 hours to see a Twitter update of him, injury or not, wearing a protective surgical boot. Good job he's a surgeon hey! Fabio - just WOW!!! Wasn't just the power but the speed that impressed me although Clarke made a rookie error in not waiting for the Ref to turn him around off the ropes. That dent to the side of the head was reminiscent of Wilders dent (think it was him v Fury). I said to others at the time that he looked like he was suffering a stroke given the dribble coming out of his lopsided mouth. Fabio gives the majority of those above him a hard nights work. Hrgovic next would be a great test for both. Lastly, Conman Benn looked a right scruffy tramp in cheap leather gear with greasy slicked back hair. Horrible specimen. Thinking he was Robert De Neros character Max Cady (Cape Fear). No, you're nothing like him.
I´m really impressed with Fabio Wardley. It´s an incredible development he has gone through in a short space of time and Frank Warren must be happy to have his signature.
Garbage 116-12 was a fair scorecard. If there was going to be any corruption it would be the other way. Hope your light heavyweight CV rankings are not using your heavyweight CV algorithm to rank fighters.
Hopefully they don't pay much I remember one of Wladimir Klitschko's fights in Germany. Here, K2 Promotion made more money from the music act than from the fight itself.
Remember when I worked in TV, one of the biggest earners was 'late night' from 1am to 6am when the station just played out music. They were paid a slice of the performing rights money by a particular publisher and made about 10x what they would from advertising. The world moves in strange ways. Wouldn't surprise me if the Saudis were being paid, or at least subsidised, to put these acts on a boxing show. The thing that strikes me though, is the boxers have no actual geographic allegiance to Saudi - to my knowledge you don't see Joshua turning up at the Saudi Pro League football as opposed to Ronaldo and Neymar shilling themselves at Riyadh Season events. Give it time!
Bit underwhelmed by the card last night being honest Whittaker exposed and quit. Eubank looked a bit flat but he's been out for over a year again not good at the age of 35 I hope he flattens that little Fonzy wannabe Benn though. Nicholson vs Chapman as expected 20 minutes of boring pitter patter yawn. Opetai vs Massey as expected Massey way in above his pay grade there. Wardley was impressive for how long it lasted lets see him stepped up now. Enjoyed the main event very close for me but I fancied Beterbiev he was pushing the fight all night and hurt Bivol a few times love to see a rematch and get all the arguments over who won.
