He has better fundamentals not sure about defense. Definitely would get destroyed by Opetia tho for obvious reasons. Who has Beterbiev beaten at cruiser in the pros if we're talking resume

I am not arguing Beterbiev will win. I am arguing Opetaia's boxing is not nearly as good as 2-3 people are estimating it to be. He doesn't have better fundamentals than Gvozdyk. Please watch more of Gvozdyk. The guy has a legit claim for being as technically good as Bivol.

I agree he does, but Opetaia is larger, has more experience fighting larger guys than LHWs, faster, stronger, longer, and went life and death with Briedis why does Beterbiev beat him. Beterbiev will not even move up if he clears light heavyweight. He will stay at 175

Opetaia sparks and knocks Beterbiev out, too explosive and powerful. If Beterbiev can take those punches though, I think he stops Opetaia late. Beterbiev would be stronger at cruiserweight and he’s fought at cruiserweight in the amateurs, I’m sure he can be competitive, but youth isn’t on his side and Opetaia too dangerous.

Hmmm, you're giving away Opetaia. If Briedis broke his jaw, I don't want to think what Beterbiev would do to him.

And Briedis is not in the same league as Beterbiev either.

    Pffft, sure he's not.

He wouldn't beat Briedis on his best day. He's not giving the best two cruiserweights in the world 20lb and beating them. He'd be lucky not to leave on a gurney against guys like that. You're absolutely dreaming if you think it ends any other way.

I had a look at Opetaia's resume and I wasn't impressed. He is a mini version of Makhmudov, hyped.

Beterbiev has competed at Cruiserweight, I can see him doing well. If he defeats Bivol and Opetaia than he's a P4P All-Time-Great since the gap between 175lbs and Cruiserweight is massive.
