Firstly, Benavidez has feasted on much smaller guys. It's far less impressive when you outweigh your opponent 10-20lbs fight night. Benavidez has yet to fight someone his own size, the guy is practically a big light heavyweight. Beterbiev is a solid, stacked Light Heavy. It is going to be very different Benavidez getting punched by such a big guy who has brutal thudding power compared. Benavidez hasn't even fought big punchers at 168lbs. Blown up 160lber shot Lemieux? no. Pillow fisted Plant and Andrade (moving up from 160, and having fought one fight in two years against a bum)? no. Benavidez has proved absolutely jack that he'd be able to handle someone like Beterbiev.

Secondly, Beterbiev is a decorated amateur with extensive experience (almost 300 fights) fighting top level competition in the World Championships and Olympics. He is several levels above Benavidez in terms of skill and that's not even debatable.

I'd pick Gvodzyk to make Benavidez look basic and Callum Johnson to knock him the **** out.

Beterbiev will turn Benavidez into a *****

Benavidez is very durable and strong. Old Beterbiev can't endure the young blood.

By the way, I want to see Benavidez vs Morrell, not Beterbiev vs Benavidez.

Because Beterbiev is too old, it won't be a fair fight.

Beterbiev is old as f**k and shopworn, while Benavidez is pretty fresh and hungry. I pick David.

Yarde is probably a bigger puncher than David tbh.

I get all that, but that doesn’t really answer why wouldn’t a guy in the same division as the money guy not want a crack at it. The whole point of these guys fighting is to make money. Of course these guys will shoot for the highest payday. That’s exactly the point of all this.

Father time is already working on Beterbiev, That fight if it did take place would be in 2025, and that would make him way too old.

Yes they wall want money but sometimes you gotta realise when you are the B side, have no leverage and no bargaining position either.

Look at Bivol. He schooled Canelo and thought the rematch bag was secure only for Canelo to punk him and remind him who the pay master really is.

    Similar will happen to Benavidez.

Sometimes you gotta let go and stop flogging a dead horse.

Canelo will fight whoever PBC will tell him to fight so both sides can maximise their money

Still didn’t answer the question . Why wouldn’t a guy want to make the most money possible?

And I told you that he shouldn't flog a dead horse if it is going nowhere ....

Most people aren’t going to give up after coming this far and I don’t blame them.

Morell is a hypejob. His skills and athleticism are underwhelming. His main selling point, power, isn't yet tested against a proper, durable opponent.

Let's test him against Benavidez then.

When Benavidez whips him, all of you will go onto say Morrell only had 9 fights.
