This could be the biggest fight in the division ever, both of them are somehow different beasts than the others.

What about Michael vs Dwight Muhammad Qawi in retrospect? Probably not at the time and maybe Bivol vs Beterbiev will become bigger with time.

The light heavyweight division never got the big fight it deserved.

No Jones vs Michalczewski and no Kovalev vs Stevenson. We did get Jones vs Tarver though, but it's not nearly as significant as this.

This is for the undisputed status, the best vs the best, undefeated vs undefeated and a perfect matchup of styles that gets boxing fans excited.

175 is unfortunately a forgotten about original division because that was just the stepping stone to the big money fights at HW. This truly is a big fight at 175. Kovalev vs Ward also gave me huge fight implications.

It’s pretty much the perfect match. Speed vs power, offense vs defense, two best in the division, and for the undisputed championship. I’ve never been so intrigued about a stylistic match up like this before tbh.

Biggest fight at 175 since Sergey Kovalev vs Andre Ward.

175 is very deep historically. Ever is too strong of a word.

It sucks we never got Jones-Michelczewski during their peaks, I think that would have been big as well.

This feels way bigger than Kovalev and Ward

The Saudis have put some real money and promotional effort behind this.

If we left it to Top Arum, this would be invisible on an ESPN card somewhere

It is a massive fight and it's great it's happening.

Stevenson Vs Kovalev would have been a great fight but was another casualty if boxing politics.

Bivol on the other hand looked like doo doo in his last fight, despite the T/KO. And Bivol destroyed Smith, so there is that.
Even if Bivol wins, I expect Beterbiev to remain a force in the division for years to come. Unless he looses the love for the sport.
